WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE COURSE?

The Art of Self Care is an online, self-paced course for creative souls who want to tap into a more cathartic journaling practice. The course consists of 21 lessons, each with a daily prompt and process video. The lessons will take you around 15 minutes to complete - but you can take longer if. you wish.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THIS COURSE IS FOR ME?

This course is for you if you have little or a lot of art journaling experience and some basic supplies. This course is not about teaching specific art journaling techniques but rather about encouraging and guiding you to explore your own creativity with thought-provoking prompts and art-making ideas. This course is designed to support you in building a creative self care habit that is easy to dip into on a daily basis.

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED?

I always encourage my students to work with what they have, there is no need to go out and buy expensive art materials. The basic supplies you will need however are, a journal (handmade or sketchbook style - the one I use in the course is handmade from found papers - but any style of journal will be just fine), some paints (watercolour, acrylic. . . any type of paint is perfect), some pastels or coloured pencils, a pen (I use a cheap brush pen a lot but you can absolutely use any pen you choose for journaling with), glue stick, some old magazine for collage.

WHEN DOES THE COURSE START AND FINISH?

This classroom for this course opens on Nov 30 and a new lesson will be made available each day - however, as it is self-paced you can work through the lessons at your own pace if you can’t commit to one a day. You will have lifetime access to the course.
